Reverend Myoshin Teruya is a Zen master and one of the original ceramic artists at the Daihonzan Chozen-ji. She grew up in Hawaii and underwent her training in Zen-Ken-Sho, Zen, budo and fine arts. She received her artist name, Bunsho, from Omori Sogen Rotaishi in 1980 and her inka, “mind stamp,” from Tanouye Tenshin Rotaishi in 1993. Her pieces, fired in the three-chamber wood-burning kiln on the grounds of Chozen-ji, are found in collections in Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and the United States.
